Are There More Photos?

Sometimes I’m so busy traveling and shooting that I may not have updated the website with all of my photographs you see on display at an art show or gallery. Also, to maintain an orderly and visually tight website, I may not show every photograph. Please email me and ask me where you saw the photograph and I’ll try and add it to the web-store or send you a thumbnail.

How Good Are Your Prints?

The internet cannot show the sheer stunning detail and rich quality of the original prints.  When viewing for the first time, many people comment at how different the photos look in real life.  When viewing in real life, most people stick their faces right in, stand back and observe, then move right in again.  Both computers and the internet vary in quality and cannot show a photograph as the photographer intended.

What About Custom Sizes?

Please email me and I’ll be happy to make a print and frame that will fit your home or current frames. Some photographs, because of their huge popularity, may not be available in small sizes. Also, not all photographs will blow well to extreme enlargements, but again please email me with any questions.

Why are the Frames So Expensive?

Frames are hand crafted by the artist using either solid pine or ash wood. They are stained black with a water based stain, and can be repainted. They are very sturdy, and joined using multiple v-nails. Frames are sealed against the elements, but allow the artwork to breath. They won’t become loaded with dirt and mold. Virtually industructable UV acrylic is offered, as well as near-invisible museum glass.  Further, matting is a high quality, long lasting archival matt that does not contain acids that damage artwork.  Many long-time art collectors are often shocked what a high quality custom frame costs, often 4-5 times what I charge.

Why do Different Photos Have Different Prices?

Each print is unique and numbered in limited editions between 25 and 100. As the edition sells out, the price will increase. If you wait months to purchase a photo you like, the price may rise as time goes by, or the edition may have run out. Early collectors will see there purchases rise in value; I never lower the price to sell more.  If another artist charges the same for every photograph, they are printing way too many and diminishing their artworks collectability.

Shipping Policy?

I normally use Fedex, which handles expensive artwork with care. I insure every package and I will replace your purchase free of charge if it arrives damaged, whether or not the insurance covers it.

Do You Sell Reproductions?

No. All artwork is created in limited editions of 25-100.  I do not sell posters or other low-quality reprodcutions. Many photographers have given artists a bad name by mass selling ‘open editions’.

Are Your Web Prices Cheaper?

No. The internet does not lower the cost of producing the artwork, so they are equal or higher to my show or gallery pricing.
