On November 8-10, 2012, I exhibited at the 38th Annual Disney Festival of the Masters, located in the famous Downtown Disney in Orlando, Florida. The weather was cool and windy, with huge crowds of people from all over the state and country. Many art patrons traveled from as far as Naples and Tampa to collect my work and check out the latest images! This year, I had an island booth between Cirque du Soleil and DisneyQuest, with the crowd viewing my work from all directions.
For a second year in a row, I was awarded 1st in Photography! The competition was tough again this year, with some of the best artists in the country exhibiting. The award ceremony was conducted during an amazing artist breakfast in the House of Blues. When my name was called, I ran up, gave Mickey and big hug, and got my picture taken. Like last year, the ribbon was enormous and elaborate in true Disney style. I’m also automatically juried into the art show next year!
My new piece, Florida Keys 15, was a huge hit at the show, as well as some of my ‘secret’ new images that I’m not releasing online until next year. Next weekend I’ll be at the Osceola Art Festival is Kissimmee, then Artworks Eau Gallie in Melbourne, and then finally Space Coast in Cocoa Beach. I hope to see you there!
