Florida Keys

While much of the Florida Keys is now built over, these twin palms stand comfortably on state owned land. I discovered this area on a kayaking adventure in 2011, capturing one of my best selling images using black and white film. Years later, I returned to reshoot my favorite palms, by popular demand, in color using slide film. The early morning sun illuminates the vegetation that awaits another Florida thunderstorm.  Also see the vertical panoramic version.
