Photographic Story:
The Banyan tree transforms a place into one of legend, myth, and folklore, with its enchanting and unique limb structure. While native to India and Bangladesh, the tree species is iconic to many South Floridians. The largest in the continental USA is at the the Thomas Edison Museum in Fort Myers, Florida, which was planted around 1925. This Banyan in Jupiter, Florida is my personal favorite, since it grows without sidewalks or roads to spoil the tree’s natural aura.
