For the past several years, I began a new tradition of venturing each summer through the Caribbean in search of the worlds most unique beaches. Recently, I visited the Virgin Islands, which has especially photogenic palm trees. I carefully angled my camera until I found this near flawless composition. Just as I snapped the shutter, a catamaran named ‘Coconut’ zoomed through the frame. These beaches have been inhabited since Colonial times, and served as a training area for the US Naval Fleet before the start of WWII.
