Photographic Story:
After nearly nine years living in Orlando, I had become homesick for life on the coast. Driving 35,000 miles per year for photography trips and art shows, I found myself not wanting to leave these great beach towns I was always visiting. My time off is always spent scuba diving, paddle boarding, and grilling out on the beach. During Hurricane Irma, I had an overdue moment of stillness – and decided it was time to leave. I chose a place called Hobe Sound, Florida, with a perfect mix of beach life and relaxed residents. During a foggy winter morning in December, I captured the iconic banyan trees on Bridge Road.
