Photographic Story:

The Loxahatchee River is one of only two ‘National Wild and Scenic Rivers’ designated by the National Park Service. This majestic, subtropical river is filled with many cypress trees, lush ferns, palm trees, vines, and native orchids. Back in my black and white film days, one of my most popular images was the ‘Loxahatchee River Bend’.  Years later, I returned to the riverbend during a gentle morning fog, and recaptured one of my favorite Florida rivers in full color.  Also see the panoramic version of this photo.
