Weeki Wachee River Run

The Weeki Wachee is best known for its underwater mermaid show that has been operating at the head-spring since 1947. However, for a born and raised Floridian like me, I know it as one of the most stunningly beautiful river runs in the world, with a soft sandy bottom and clear blue water, as well as its palm and cypress trees. Manatees are seen here year around, especially when they pack in during the winter months. On a warm summer evening, as darkness approached, I created this long exposure.
